Can anyone confirm if the e90 2008 320d automatically turns off the headlights if the switch is left in the ON position for the dipped beams? I've attached a picture.

There isn't an Auto option for the lights BTW. Need to confirm if leaving the headlight switch in this position will drain the battery or does it not matter as the car will shut light electrics off when car is locked and parked. Thanks.

first position parking lights stay on even with key out, second position turns all off when key is removed

    Thanks for confirming that.

I'm dealing with a battery drain issue after BMW did recall work on the B+ battery connector. They blamed the battery drain on the Parrot kit that has been in the car since new (10 years) which never had any issues prior to the recall work. Parrot kit was disconnected and they said there was no parasitic drain on the car now. However, the problem occurred again today. 3.77V when battery measured.

One odd thing I did notice, was the turbo actuator sounds like it is still "on" even 30 mins after the car is locked. And every 10-20 seconds there is a sound from the engine bay that I initially thought was the central locking. Similar sound to that but definitely from the engine bay. Surely 30 mins is long enough for the car to fully go to "sleep"?

Any Beemer fans have some info on this? Thanks.
