Living long term in a camper van on farmland

    I read some threads here about living long term in a camper van on farmland. As I understand it, living in a vehicle is a change of land use, which is a development, which requires planning permission.

    I'd be grateful if somebody could provide some links to the relevant laws, planning regulations etc.

    Surely if the camper is kept drivable it’s ok.

    "No caravan, campervan or boat shall be so kept or stored for more than 9 months in any year or occupied as a dwelling while so kept or stored."

    Step 1 - It requires Planning Permission.
    Step 2 - It will be refused Planning Permission.

    Someone would want to let the people on the tipperary road out of limerick know this as i think they have been doing this for at least 9 years!

    I'm not sure there's any legal reason you can't go live on a halting site if that suits your lifestyle preferences.
