Looking for a laptop please... Perhaps my expectations pricewise is off, but was hoping to spend €500-€600, but may not be looking in the right places.

    Recommendations welcome!

    Ideal specs:

    Win 10
    i5 - 8th Gen

    1tb HD

    15.6 screen
    Microsoft Office also

would recommend this at 650 euro (but 100 euro off if you have an old laptop in working order not older than 7 years to trade-in)

has a 256gb hd but it's the much better and faster ssd type which speeds up the operation of the pc a lot over the bigger spinning hds. the smaller size is more than outweighed by the speed. you really want an ssd these days. use a cheap external usb hd if you need more space. 256gb is fine once you're not installing lots of games and storing lots of movies /tv on the pc

    full hd screen 15.6

lightweight for a 15.6 which is important imo

ryzen cpu which is as fast as intel i5 and has much better graphical capabilities compared to intel i5 (e.g. for photo/ video editting and games). so a better deal than the intel i5 really.

    8gb ram

you won't get office included with most pc's - at most you'd get a short trial period of office 365 where you have to pay after. better off buying office standalone somewhere else or using the free and excellent libreoffice which would work for most people.
