    Hi

I was hoping to get some ideas for a place to host the day after our wedding.

Were getting married on a Friday in March next year outside Kells but hoping to have a get together the following night somewhere in South Dublin City.

Most of our friends are from Dublin, my future brides family are from Dublin and my family are from Kerry so hoping for a nice pub, with good food, thats not in the city centre, but close to hotels which can cater for about 40-50 people.

Not picky at all, i know!!

    Cheers

Schoolhouse, Pig's Ear, afaik FX Buckley has a private room too. That part of town is sprinkled with nice restaurants and pubs.

Apologies just spotted you don't want somewhere exactly city centre. What about Ranelagh, loads of nice places there like Tribecca for food and Smyths bar then just down the road?

The Union in Mount Merrion have an event space upstairs, cafe/resturant and pub attached.

Would you go to a classic pub with a private area? Something like the Dropping well in Churchtown? They have a function room downstairs!
