I am looking for an aftershave with a unique long lasting smell.

    I have tried:
    Jovan Musk (my overall favourite)
    Pinaud clubman (made skin dry)
    Old spice (different fragrances)
    Tabac (good, strong but pricey)

Any other suggestions please? It's for daily use so max budget is 15-20 euros.

For 15 quid you're better off wearing nothing.

    Maybe:
    Nautica Voyage
Scentstory 24 gold (can get a good price on ebay)
    Animale by Animale (also ebay).
After that you can do some research on Rasasi, Ajyad, Al Rehab and Lattafa. Theres loads around that price point.

Why does it have to be unique?
Whats wrong with a nice one from Superdrug or Boots?

And what do you mean by unique? If something is nice and cheap, its fairly likely many will wear it, so it'll not be unique.
If you end up being the only person wearing an aftershave, its probably cos its stinking.

Hope you discover something worthwhile (and obscure). Look on basenotes also and so a search for best cheapies.

These are all EDT or body oils, rather than being a "true" aftershave.

Many men confuse aftershave with body fragrances. EDT/P are not supposed to be used on face due to their high oil content which will make your face go red and pimply.

I have Jean Paul Gautier, Armani code, CK, burberry brit for men, Versace blue jeans, etc etc. but would never use them on my face.

No wonder many posters got annoyed with the price range I mentioned.

TBH the term aftershave is used interchangeably with EdT etc so it's fairly understandable. In my experience, 'proper' aftershave isn't overly available these days - much of what is comes from more expensive brands such as Dior etc which are unlikely to be got on your budget.

Have a gander through the selection in the links below

    https://www.shaving.ie/aftershave-lotion/

    https://connaughtshaving.com/aftershave.html

I would a say that if you give more of an indication of what you're actually looking for scentwise it would be more helpful than just saying unique.

Are there any scents you like that you want to find an aftershave to match? Are they scents you detest?

Thanks for the link, I am having a look at them now.

I am looking for woody and lemon base notes.

Shaving.ie used to carry a larger selection so I've added a second link.

Have a read about Dr. Harris Arlington. Nice citrus notes and has a matching cologne to give the scent some staying power.

Aftershave by their nature will fade relatively quickly so the matching cologne is nice to have.

    Brilliant stuff.

Could you suggest a strong woody, tobacco note aftershave? Could be with or without hint of citrus.

    Many thanks!
