Fuel filter leaking. Tarmac drive damaged

Got the diesel filter in my wife's car replaced in a local garage a couple of weeks ago but it appears they didn't do a very good job as it's started to leak and my (tarmac) driveway has a progressively growing stain. I was away for a few weeks and noticed it when I came back. She hadn't noticed it unfortunately.

I brought it back to the garage and they tightened it up but to no avail and the leak is still occurring. I washed the diesel away as much as possible with large amounts of detergent but I wasn't obviously quick enough and the tar has started melting.

I'm bringing it back (again) today to get it resolved properly. But my question is, how can I stop the tar from breaking up more? Is there a repair kit of some sort available?

At the very least, put something underneath the car to contain the diesel until the leak is fixed...

lots of detergent powder is the only thing. Absolutely cover it. the tarmac is buggered though
