I need to know how many litres of undercoat and satinwood I need to paint 8 internal pine doors white. It's all gallons on google search and I'm getting conflicting advice on how many tins I need. Doors are approx 77 x 200cm each. Im guessing 2.5L for two doors or maybe just get a 10L undercoat and 10L satinwood for all 8 to save money I used to buy Dulux but due to cost need a cheaper brand that is just as good.

You need to block any knots first, then prime before uc and top coat

The doors have been treated and varnished already so I just need to sand and paint the knots. Just wondering how many tins of undercoat and satin wood I would need for 8 doors

A gallon (old tin) is about 5 litres (new tin) - give or take.

You're not going to hit it exactly. You'll either run out - big PIA or have stuff left over - minor PIA.

Woodies are selling Dulux paint 3 for 2 at the moment .

Because they have been varnished you are better off sanding them and giving them a coat of Bin Primer , it will help stop them chipping .

    https://www.lenehans.ie/zinsser-bin-primer-2-5lt.html?gclid=CjwKCAjwxILdBRBqEiwAHL2R85g9pTGanfO65RaHPDAAMKxOmF75Yn8BuGNVLNYd049OFWFdUuPgjRoCi68QAvD_BwE

If you leave the Bin to dry overnight then give them an undercoat and 2 coats of satinwood , it would be possible to just give 2 coats of satinwood on top of the Bin Primer as well tho .

5l of each should be loads. Roughly it 15m2 per liter

Try one of the trade places rather than Woodies or B&Q or the like. We got all the paint for our house from the Fleetwood Trade Centre in Inchicore during the re-decoration of our fixer-upper and found them good on price and the paint to be better quality than the Dulux stuff you'd get in a DIY store...
