Indoor Aerial Recommendations?

Would anyone know of an indoor aerial they would recommend for receiving Saorview channels?

I'm in Mulhuddart in Dublin 15 (21km from the nearest mast). I'd prefer not to have to put one on the outside.

Something that looks like this - https://cpcireland.farnell.com/mercury/sto2/set-top-aerial-olympik-2/dp/AP00025

Used one like that, mounted in an attic, in Tallaght many years ago.

To be honest a piece of wire inserted into the aerial socket would get you as good a picture as that aerial. To be able to receive decent reception with an indoor aerial you need a strong signal in the first place. Using any type of indoor aerial in an area with weak or even moderate signal is a total waste of time. Any obstruction between aerial and transmitter will reduce signal and that includes walls and even windows to a lesser extent. If you cannot install an elevated external aerial you could install one in your loft/attic although signal will be reduced by wall/roof. If you are pretty sure you are getting a very strong signal where you live the best indoor aerial is a Telecam which you can get via Amazon. If it doesn't do the job simply return it and forget about indoor aerials altogether.
