Dont get me wrong it looks like paradise but I'm just wondering if its worth the hassle goin the other side of the world. Thanks lads.

Getting to and staying in Bora Bora is very expensive. Jump on Expedia and do some test searches and you will see however if you can afford a trip like this I'd say it would be amazing.

I think Palma de Mallorca is perfect place for honeymoon. I visited it last year and it was unforgettable trip. It has some lovely architecture with a mix of Roman and Arabian styles and some Vandal landmarks and you can't miss the massive Cathedral. Here is a live webcam https://worldcams.tv/cities/palma-de-mallorca-harbour from some nice places of the city. Mallorca has both sandy beach and cliff "beach" depending on your preference.

The Maldives is comparable in a lot of ways and a cheaper alternative to Bora Bora. Lots of people do the Maldives as part of their honeymoon as you can spend a couple of days/nights in somewhere like Dubai in the way down or back as it’s a natural stopover on the way there.

I have been to tahiti and Fiji and the cook islands, to be honest I wouldn't recommend any of them but maybe for a honeymoon is okay, they are all literally just islands and all there is to be done is sit on a beach or swim in the sea or maybe a walk. That is just not for me but might be ideal for you!

Sri Lanka is popular for this kind of thing.
    Might be a worthy alternative.

You should look at doing both if you can afford it, it's only an hour on plane between Colombo and Mane.
