    Looking at 2010 Citroen C3 1.1 VT 5DR, 70K miles, immaculate condition.
    Very comfortable, nice to drive.
Any opinions on the reliability of these?
I have often heard the view that Citroens, and French cars in general are unreliable, particularly for electrics. Is this fair, or applicable to this one?
    Also looked at a 2010 Fabia 1.2 petrol, 54K miles, and 2010 1.2 Corsa Club, 89K miles.
    Thanks for your opinions.

Looking for opinions on reliability of this: 2010 Citroen C3 1.1 VT 5DR. Immaculate condition, very comfortable and nice to drive.
Have heard usual comments about Citroens/French cars being unreliable, particularly for electricals. Is this fair, or long-standing prejudice?

I see plenty of cleanish looking 1st generation c3s still going around. So their longevity seems to be fairly good anyway.

Very reliable engine and the electrical issues tend to be associated with much older models. In overall terms the Corsa is the best of those you mention - quiet 16 valve engine, spacious, nice design and well suited to motorway as well as town driving with no major reliability issues.

OP, how did you arrive at those 3 on a short list? There are much better alternatives than those 3.

Fabia are a good workhorse, esp chain driven ,french electronic problems are well known, after having several over the years personally I'd stay clear of anything french that age

Just starting the search. Went to a dealer to look at a Clio, but didn't like it. Not in great condition, and did not drive well. He had the Citroen in the forecourt so took it for a spin. Immaculate, really lovely car to drive. Never driven a Fabia, so wanted to see what it was like. found it a bit noisy, and plain inside.
Basically looking at small 2010-ish, mileage not too high, in good condition. Petrol as will be mainly doing short journeys.
Something easy to insure as my daughter will be starting to drive it also.

Thanks. Almost no boot on them. Don't need a lot of space, but they are very small.

I had a 2011 C4 for 6 years, that I sold on recently. Never had issues with it over the years.

Every car will give trouble if it's not looked after properly.
