IE to 372 tags

    Hi all, just a bit stumped with this one:
    We have a small herd with 6 cows due to calve this year, so I bought the set of 6 tags last November so I'd have them in plenty of time. Anyways, the last of the cows calved the other day and I tagged the calf saturday with the last set of tags. BVD sample is gone off in the post. The issue I'm having is according to the website when you register the birth, you cant use IE prefix tags anymore since the 1st of July of this year. It's telling me to contact the local DVO office to sort this. Anyone have this issue and what happens next?

    I had old IE tags, left from the prebvious year, when the new 372 ones came in. Used all the old ones up first. Didn't have the online problem though. Just ring the DVO. I'm sure they will have dealt with it before.

    Got in touch with the DVO office, long story short the IE tags are not accepted anymore. I'm waiting two and a half weeks now for the new 372 ones to come from mullinahone, and when they do arrive I have tom call the DVO office and get a guy out from the office to remove the current IE tags in the calf's ears and replace them with the new 372 tag and then send the BVD sample off again. Such nonsense.
