    Hi all

    Just wanted to sense check my sale price before letting my car onto DD

    As above- 12 VW Passat- Highline spec- 2.0 TDi blue-motion

    6 speed Manual, stop start, AC, cruise control, heated seats etc...

    120km, Fully serviced in Feb for NCT, 4 New tyres

    Irish car, dealer stamped service book, 2 owner car

    At the top they seem to retail at 12-13k; so price at 10-11?

    What dealers ask for their cars and what they actually sell for are two different things, their asking price will include middle ground for allowing a discount for a straight sale. Also a dealer will give a warranty, you as a private seller won't so your price needs to be a good bit cheaper than a dealer to mitigate the extra risk a buyer has.

    Here is a similar one with a little more mileage asking under 9k:

    There are a good few others with higher mileage asking for more money but it doesn't mean they are selling. Even this one is being sold by a dealer asking 11k now compared to the 13k sticker price in the photos:

    Remember too that your car is nearly 7 years old now so you need to price it at 7 year old prices, plus there are plenty of cheap ones from the UK too.
