buying house with no water connection

    Hi can you get a mortgage on a property that is not connected to water mains. The connection is there ready to go but not connected. Plus as the house is not connected it is not fit for use so is it excempt to nppr and lpt

    You would be able to get a mortgage that would be released on a stage basis similar to a self build mortgage .It would be structured for a payment release based on current valuation followed by further releases after various stages of work completed.
    Obviously the extent of "not fit for use " would have to be clarified.

    the pipe to our house is at the road side and the connection on the main is there but the two are not connected
