    Hello peoples,

I retuned my TV because BBC 1 wasn’t working. Half of the UK channels disappeared. I looked online and found that Saorview uses Channel 23/56 and Freeview uses 23/43 (HD 29/40) here in wexford but my tv is now pulling 23

AFAIK CH23 is Mount Leinster / St. Davids
CH56 is Forth Mountain and CH43 is Presely

    Sorry this is a lot,
    Cillian.

    Edit i cant get HD

All your Freeview will be coming from Presely: St. Davids is a low-powered (16 Watts) local transmitter.

    Presely uses channels 45, 46, 40, 42, 45, & 39 for BBC A (BBC SD), D3&4 (ITV, C4 etc. SD), BBC B HD, SDN, ARQ A, & ARQ B muxes respectively. The BBC B HD mux also carries ITV, C4, & C5 HD.

Did the problem only start last night? With it being windy, the 1st thing I'd do is check that my aerial isn't at some crazy angle.

    Thank you so much!
I fixed my aerial and can the all UK channels again but do I need a special 'Freeview HD' approved tv to get the HD channels? I still cant get them

Yeah the TV mightn't have the right kind of tuner for Freeview HD (DVB-T2). What's the make & model?

DVB T2 is a requirement for Saorview receivers since January 2013 so you might have a TV from before then?

You could get a DVB T2 box for 30 euro

    Thank you!

Is there a way to mark this as solved?
