Tractor and trailer for use on the roads ,does it need an NCT or any special requirements ?

It's not going to be used for agricultural purposes whatsoever

What sort of tractor and what will be it's inteded use?

If tractor is capable of 40Kph and not for Agri use then it needs a Test. No test currently for tractor trailers.

Must also be taxed as a general haulage tractor and run on DERV to be 100% legal................................

Recording of hours / tachograph also required. Fast tracks with lowloaders are like magnets to RSA officers.

I'd love to buy an old tractor/JCB and display it at shows. Can a fastrac+low loader be used as a private vehicle and not need the tachograph?
