150 year old house - Insulation advice

    Hi,

I have searched and read previous threads and as much info as possible on the subject.
but i'm still a bit confused as our house is a bit of a hodgepodge of previous internal works and unknowns.

It's a 2 story 220msq 150+ year old house with what i think is a lime render externally and some standard internal insulated stud walls set away from the external walls. the main roof has 200mm of fiberglass and no felt.
There are foothpaths on 3 sides of the house but at the rear i think the ground level is too high so will be digging down and putting in a french drain

There is no sign of damp anywhere, only slightly on the top of a second story external facing wall where there is wall paper directly on to whatever traditional finish is behind it.

Could anyone point me in the direction of a specialist that could advise me on a comprehensive road map to get our house as warm and efficient as our budget will allow.

Who would be best placed to advise on an old house for insulation/draught exclusion/breath-ability/updating existing or recommending new heating systems etc..

I have contacted an adviser from the SEAI list but I feel they are more so train in more modern approaches to what we require.

We are base in Co, Sligo

    Thanks
