Insurance for houses over 100 years old?

    Hi We own a mid terrace red brick property in Dublin. Built approx 1876. Lots of insurers dont insure old houses..our quote this year is silly money...who are the players in this market can anyone advise? Zip

    You're probably best contacting a broker. My house is over a hundred years old and I was able to get insured with Allianz (through a broker, but they probably do it direct as well) and if I remember right, Kidd were quoting as well but they were asking for further documents and I have didn't have time to get them.
