Links that only work when a post is quoted

Hi, Anyone any idea why this happens? Someone (with 1'000s of posts) posts a link that is just text i.e. it can't be clicked. Someone else comes along and quotes their post and hey presto the link will work in the quoted post. Seeing it an awful lot lately. I took a screen shot of an example

Hi,

Anyone any idea why this happens? Someone (with 1'000s of posts) posts a link that is just text i.e. it can't be clicked. Someone else comes along and quotes their post and hey presto the link will work in the quoted post. Seeing it an awful lot lately. I took a screen shot of an example

Haven't seen this while browsing. Would you have links to other posts where this is occurring by any chance? Just to see if there are common factors or URL issues, etc.

I think the answer is this

They post on m.boards.ie

When I post a link on m.boards.ie the site quite often does not automatically create a url link. In order to create it I have to goto the main site and edit my post.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
