Quality Check in Revenue - Again!

Looking for advice on my dealings with Revenue

I claimed for medical expenses in March for an operation I had abroad in December 2017
I went abroad as the operation would have taken over 18 months here in Ireland and I paid
privately for the op. The cost was 7k
I submited the receipt to Revenue
It goes to a 'quality check' with revenue.
I'm assuming its because of the amount of tax credits are outside a 'scope' of allowable tax credits for health

Secondly - my son was diagnosed with Developmental Coordination Disorder back in 2015
I only recently discovered I'm entitled to claim Incapacitated Child Tax Credit and have it backdated 4 years
So i applied and completed the forms ICC1 & ICC2.
    3 out of the 4 years have issued a P21 - 2017, 2015 and a new tax certificate for 2018

The last year, 2016 - I have ironically been pulled for another 'Quality Check'

Thats 2 x 'Quality Checks' in 6 months by Revenue
I'm beginning to feel like a bit of a sitting target here

I work in public sector and pay my full taxes - any reasons why i keep getting called for these 'checks'

I'm beginning to think its because I moved house and am now under a different tax office

Should i take this up with the Revenue Commissioners and ask why i keep getting called for these 'quality' checks
Not sure what 'quality' they are looking for

    Many thanks

These checks have been selected by Risk identification software, not by people, and nothing to do with you moving addresses or tax district.

As a compliant taxpayer you should probably be glad that they aren't just firing out thousands of quid, no questions asked, to whomever claims it...!

Just to add, AFAIK dyspraxia wouldn't generally constitute a permanent incapacitation, so you may not actually be entitled to the tax credit...

Quality check will just mean a human looks at your file to make sure that the claim is genuine and has been applied and calculated correctly.
The hospital stay would be a large value and out of 'normal' transaction range, add to that is was outside the country so the expected cost would not be the same as a hospital stay here in Ireland.
The incapcited child application only needs 1 year to be checked once that is done and the childs incapacity 'covered' the claim years and is not going to change then there is no need to review the other years.
