Issues with Heating

    Hi there,
Looking for some advice on heating in my home. We have recently bought a house and thought heating was fine. We would put on the oil boiler. Now nearly each time I need to bleed the radiators as there is air in them. On the first floor I would let all air out there and then bleed all of the radiators. If there was not enough water in the system I would fill up to the marker. The radiators would heat fine but I have noticed that there is water outside of hte house beside the boiler. The next time I try the heading, the radiators need to be bleeded again.
Can anyone advise what we have to do. I asked a family friend who was a plummer to have a look and all he did was drain and add water into the system. Any advice would be appreciated.
    Peter.

You could just have a leaking pressure valve. Get a decent plumber or service guy to check it out.
Probably needs a good service anyway.

how do you add water to the system.., what pressure is the gauge reading when cold..,what pressure is the gauge reading when the heating is on for an hour...,good chance you may have an issue with the expansion vessel or leaking prv valve as Wearb has said.

There is a valve beside hot water tank so add water to system. When cold pressure is zero, after one hour the pressure is zero

    You've a leak.

Call a better plumber. That sort of makes sense.
