I have a 2011 Vaux Insignia. Just picked the car up from garage after clutch /flywheel replacement and its showing an error with the electric handbreak that wasnt there before the work.

Mechanic said its a known issue (true) but it wasn't there before. Handbrake works fine when stationary. Hill start assist no longer works. Nor does handbreak auto release.

Interestingly, when you push the clutch down to start the car, the 'press clutch to start' message comes up on the dashboard but the car does start (reluctantly if the pedal isnt all the way down when you turn the key).

Im no expert but all this suggests to me an issue related to the clutch pedal. Going back tomorrow but wondered if anyone has similar experience?

Cork. Going back to the garage later today.

So, as I thought, it was the clutch pedal sensor. Interesting side effect was that the car was lurching in low gear if you had to feather the throttle. Just in case anyone is having a similar experience.
