What acid is safe to add to a wash to bring the ph down?

I've made a wash but on checking the ph it's around 8.5 at which it won't ferment (I used water that was filtered by reverse osmosis rather than my usual source). What can I add to it to reduce the alkalinity that won't hugely affect the final product?

A few drops of lemon juice maybe?

You can buy pH 5.2 mash stabiliser from homebrew suppliers.

Don't use that stabiliser stuff, it's useless and kills body and head retention. Get your water profile and use one of the calculators.
