Are you paying extra for 4k Netflix? As far as i know, it's a few quid extra.

The obvious Q is: are you watching 4K content ? I'd imagine there's a nice difference in the quality/sharpness of true 4K content.
If you have an old VCR, I'd be interested to know what that looks like on a 65inch 4K TV !! eeek!

Yea 4k, ultra HD is an extra couple of euro a month so might have to change your subscription. Also not sure if everything is actually available in UHD.

Best way to test viewing 4K content is by going to YouTube and search for 4K video and change the quality from 1080P to 4K by clicking the cog wheel.

Also if your only with three and using a dongle your broadband might not be strong enough to play 4K content smoothly

Also what model TV is it? HDR makes a much bigger difference than 4K, if coming from an already decent 1080p set.

I went from a very decent 48" 1080P to a 55" 4K, and the real noticable difference is HDR, there's not as huge an amount between a very good quality 1080p source and 4K one.

Agreed, I can’t notice any difference in 4K, but HDR makes a massive difference.

Open YouTube and search for HDR content on the TV, see what you think

    100 percent correct.

I have a 65 inch 4k Sony with HDR. The thing is HD is upscaled so much that there is very little difference between HD and 4k unless you sit on top of the TV.

The real future is HDR. Sky Q has dropped the ball on this. You can notice the difference between HDR & non HDR no matter where you sit in the room. I have the TV two years now & I'm as happy with HD as 4k but I still marvel at the colours of HDR.

The only sure fire way is to bite the bullet and get eir or failing that, wimax if available.

I have eir fibre and i can assure you 4k/UHD works perfectly.

Also when you are in HDR mode on the LG a little message will pop up in the top right corner saying you are in HDR mode. If this doesn't come up then you aren't in HDR mode.

I got from the op that the off duty garda rang the station she was stationed in (station x). Is it not an offence for somebody from the republic to drive an out of state vehicle?

The Siege of Jadotville is stunning in 4K on netflix.

I have a 55" 4K non-HDR LG, and I'm not sure what ye lot are watching, but the jump from my Full HD Sony to this was immediately obvious. I don't know if I like HDR. It feels fake. But I suppose if you get used to it, it would be grand. But movies, tv and especially my gaming looks amazing since I upgraded to 4K. I am a bit of a quality whore though, so I'd notice things that others wouldn't.

Please don't say HDR is rubbish and feels fake. Like really?

I know it's tongue in cheek but it reminds me of my friend who prefers to watch Game of Thrones in 480P instead of 720/1080P because he reckons it's more 'cinematic'

Has he not been in the cinema since the early 90s
