Pretty sure you can't stream the sports from your phone to another device if you have the mobile sports package? That's a considerable limitation

No, it's mobile only, and you cant cast it either. It's pretty useless.

You can't even watch the sky subscription version of eir sports online in any format

While you can't cast you can use a USB C to HDMI, MHL adaptor or similar to watch on your TV just fine.

Some phones don't support those devices so look into it first.

No it's the Eir Sports Just Mobile app you get access to. Red one, not the green one. No code, etc.

I know with the full phone plans you can get in touch with eir and they can add Eir Sport to your sky account free of charge, surely it’d be the same for this?

It's €20 a month for the phone plan and the app access! Pretty good deal IMO. If you want something else you'll have to ask them and see if they'll do it but I can't image they'd have much incentive to.
