Hi all, just back from a package holiday with TUI in Sunny beach. Our flight was meant to depart sept 10th at 1am. There was a technical difficulty with the plane. TUI put us up in a hotel with breakfast and lunch. We then departed at 5pm.

Does anyone know what we are entitled to considering we were put up?

    Thanks

You would still be entitled to the €250 EU 261 compensation for the delay.

Claim the EU261 compensation and any other incurred costs.
Don't hold your breathe waiting for TUI to respond however, their flight delay team have a 56 day response time and their complaints team have a stated 28day reply window but recent experience puts that at actually 64days.

Think it’s up to the €600 range because it was over 1500km

Indeed, it is 2761 km as per the great circle mapper.

If your flight was delayed over 4 hours and the distance to destination airport is greater than 1500km (and less than 3500Km) you would be entitled to €400 per person. This would be claimed from the airline which may not necessarily have been TUI. What airline did you travel with?

Tui has there own airline. In dublin they use a sunwings's aircraft.
