Are you looking to submit for a new vehicular entrance? If it is just for a dished path locally, talk to your LA. Planning not required for that alone. They will advise on what works you require and if they will permit it.

You don't need planning to dip the foot path.
This is something the Council Roads Department do for about €750, but you must have planning or retention permission for the vehicular entrance on your boundary wall before they do it.

What exactly are you looking to do?
    What council is it?

We have a terrace with no drive at all. I want to dip the path and knock the wall to the garden so u can get a car off the busy main road. 50% of house have it

Then you need the following :
Planning permission to alter the front boundary to create a vehicular entrance.

If this is successful you apply to the roads section to dish the path.

Two totally separate applications and you must sort out the planning for the entrance first.

Yes, its a full Planning Application.
Regulation standard drawings, OSi Maps, Site Notice, Newspaper Notice etc

The actual cost to lodge is €34.
But you have background costs such as newspaper, OSi Maps, Site notice, drawings and printing.

Most people will employ an Agent to carry out all of this for them.

I am also look to submit a simular planning application, the path is already dipped but I emailed the local co. Council and was told I need permission to widen the vehicle entrance.

It seems like too small a job to bother an architect with, is there anyone here or does anyone know of someone who I could hire to handle the submission for me?

The house is in south country dublin.
