It's badged as giant contact. Just measured with my vernier calipers though and it is 1 1/4". Just noticed it has 8*x110 written on it though, so I must have mismeasured it somehow. Dunno if thats any use to you

Check it or buy it? Not organising a meet for someone to try it especially for a fiver, too much hassle sorry.

OP, as you have experience of both Bont and Sidi shoes, would you mind helping me with a few quesions:
    1. Which shoes are wider?
    2. Bont's marketing blurb states "Bont adds structural medial longitudinal arch support in all of their models to prevent over pronation. Bont believe over pronation is a big cause of knee injuries as the incorrect tracking of knees while in the riding position can cause rotation of the tibia and femur" - this is a long shot but do you feel this arch support help in any way at all?
    3. Do you find Bont's wide toe box design help the toes sit straighter rather than other shoes where the toe box is more pointed in shape?

Sorry for the questions but I'm trying to work out if a pair of Bont shoes will help me with my left knee problem that I've had for years (I've tried a bike fit but that hasn't helped at all)

    TIA

Not really the best person to ask as I didnt really get on too well with either brands but Bonts are wider and the arch is quite pronounced. Didn't really feel any difference in my toes in either iirc but it is more than 2 years ago I used any of these shoes.
