Sonos, Radio and a non technical O/H

So I want to put a Sonos plugged in permanently on top of a kitchen cabinet. I've no issues with the install and setup. But once this is done, Is it a straight forward job for herself to open phone and play "Mid West radio" on the speaker? Theres obvious radio apps that dont charge right? It's all very simple from within the Sonos app. I have been using Stitcher for radio along with Google music and another podcast app.
