Elite Turbo Muin Direct Drive and Misuro B+ Sensor

Upgraded on whim after my crash when a good deal came up on a smart trainer, and I was facing into 8 weeks of that being my only cycling/ exercise, so selling my old turbo.

Asking €225 (currently €450 in halfords).

Elite Turbo Muin Direct Drive Turbo
Misuro B+ Sensor which provides a Power Reading (Virtual Power*), and cadence and speed.
Big Fly wheel/ "road like" feel (so it is heavy)
(I think I still have the 34-11 11 speed cassette I took off it tbc)

It is very quiet, just the drive chain noise really. First time I used it upstairs on the open landing, I was met afterwards by my better half saying "I thought you were going to try your new turbo?"!

I used it with TrainerRoad, but I'm told the virtual power works with Zwift too.

*When I got a power meter I did do a few comparisons. It wasn't that accurate, but did seem to be consistent. fwiw I've heard on the guys on the TrainerRoad podcast advise that they'd go "dumb" Direct Drive over "Smart" wheel on, as there's less variables.

I live in North Wicklow, work in Clonskeagh (generally 8-4), for delivery/ collection.

Is this the one in Halfords?

    https://www.halfords.ie/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductMobileDisplay?catalogId=15551&categoryId=310541&langId=-1&productId=1325022&storeId=11101

Im trying to better understand these but I take it that the difference between this and fully smart trainers is that the resistance isn’t controlled by Zwift or trainerroad etc. If you use the elite app can you select a course that controls the resistance on the unit?

Non smart, direct drive. Zwift, trainerroad etc do not control resistance. You have to use the resistance of the flywheel and gearing.

I'm thinking of getting one for this winter.
How long have you had it for?
I'm close to Wicklow Town - I'm up and down the M11 daily.

    Thanks.

Can't find the email from halfords for the exact date, but two years ago give or take a few months.

Still working fine - currently has a bike set up for the missus, but she hasn't really used and says she won't, so no point in it sitting there. I was happy with it and hadn't been able to justify an upgrade on it, until I was sulking after the injury!

I can get down to Wicklow Town or meet in Ashford no issues, but probably not until Sunday as I'm dying on the dying cow on Saturday.

Grand, sounds like a plan. I've a few things happening on Sunday (or so I'm told) but a trip to Ashford is doable.
What's the best way to arrange something?

    Cheers.

I'll take that as an offer at asking? And then we can take it to Private Message and I'll give you my number I guess. I don't know the plans myself for Sunday, but should be able to get out at somepoint.
