Grip Solvent

    Folks,

    Running low on grip solvent, finding it hard to source because of rules on liquids in the post etc. Last time I bought it was in the states so not an option this year.

    Any ideas?

    I always use petrol. A bit smelly at first, but goes pretty quickly. ;)

    White spirits, simplest, get it in most DIY stores paint supplies section

    Have only ever used white spirit from Woodies, works perfectly on 50+ clubs at this stage

    Do you guys re-grip your own clubs so? Is a vice a must have ?

    Don't bother with grip solvent. Masking tape and slide the grip directly on with compressed air. Never moves.

    Not 100% necessary, but it makes the job a whole lot easier. Otherwise it's a two man job and one of them is going to have sore fingers. ;)

    I go for the white spirit in Dealz, 1.50 works great. Do not go for the eco spirit stuff. It doesn't lubricate the adhesive and the grip sticks straight away

    Get a pair of these and slip them into a workmate and you're away with it...

    Actually just remembered that Lidl are selling a vice at the moment. At least it was around the middle of last month, but I'm fairly sure there were still a few left in one of my local stores a few days ago.

    You can get a rubber clamp for it on eBay for a few quid.

    Edit: I see slave1 has a link to them.
