    Hi,
Earlier in the year I was caught for speeding in wales on a temporary road works section by an average speed camera in the middle of the night. Now I have received summons in the post. I can see the list of previous contact details and addresses they sent it to which were all wrong, and the latest one is slightly wrong also but I still got it this time.
I am willing to pay a fine but that option is not available now, it’s either guilty or not guilty. They look for your salary etc for the courts which they may base the fine on.

Just wondering if anyone on here has been caught in a similar situation in wales in the last 12 months or so and how did it finish up?

Any info would be great, thanks

Had a similar experience a couple of years ago, I pleaded not guilty but my reason was something different - I had sent my details to the DVLA and had certificate of postage to prove it. I never heard any more about it after that.

I would write back to the summons, pleading not guilty saying that it only got it now after it being delivered to a number of incorrect addresses (maybe you could explain the address changes by including utility bills or something?).

Could you try calling the DVLA to explain?

Hi, there is 2 charges, 1for failing to give info relating to the driver and the other is the speed. I was driving the Uk reg car but wasn’t the new registered owner. I rang them already but they can’t comment on cases until they go to court. They said I should respond which I will do.

I had similar a few years ago, I had a car rented through a UK company I was working for at the time, so fine arrived through rental company to UK office. I paid fine but must have got one digit wrong on my licence number as I never received any penalty points!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just respond, not guilty, say why, and I bet you'll never hear another word about it.

I doubt its Old Sparky for you this time.....
