Replacement shower question - Mira digital

Ok lads just looking for some clarification from people in the know in regards to showers

I’m downsizing my ensuite and in the process going to change the shower to a more clutter free setup, box up in the attic out of the shower area

I have a Mira Elite ST at the moment
I’m taking this as being gravity fed from cold water tank as with my well pump turned off I could still have a shower yet no mains tap water

I’m thinking of this as the replacement

    https://www.mirashowers.co.uk/showers/digital-showers/mira-platinum-ceiling-fed-pumped-for-gravity/

Will it be a basic straight swap fed and heated the same way, just want to be 100% sure before ordering

Obviously there’s work to be done to plumb it etc

    Thanks

    No

Your mira elite st is an electric shower & it heats the water. It is tank fed & it only has a cold feed.

The digital shower needs a hot & cold feed as it does not heat the water. You need to heat up the water first before showering.

I'm not a fan of digital showers. You get a good warranty but when they fail they can cost 300 to 400 to repair outside of the warranty. Considering the cost of them I believe a 10 years warranty on everything but the pump would be fair.

    Hi thanks for the reply

That was my only concern seeing hot and cold on the box, but thought cold was the input and hot was the output.....

Back to the drawing board, I want a concealed shower, and I like these Mira ones .... the other bathroom has a non heated shower already so I definitely want the ensuite to have a heated/pumped one

Do I have that option, or is the T90sr my only option.... cos I really don’t want that box in the shower area

They don't make a lot of different pumped electric showers as they are almost exclusively for the Irish market. No need for pumped electric in the UK as they have great mains water pressure

The triton t90sr is the best pumped electric shower on the market. There is a satin finish version but you'll pay an extra 100 just for the colour.

Sure the satin one is just as bad.... who designs these things? They’ve not changed in 20 years to look at

Guess I’m stuck so, suppose not too bad with it being in the ensuite
