Rented land

    I rented land and got my flock number off it.... havent done my green cert and have no entitlements for it... there's roughly 10ha leased for 6 years.... can I lift the area based payment on it or am I entitled till any payments?

    No if you have leased the land the tenant is the only person that ban claim payments on it.

    Doing the green cert allows you apply to the reserve for entitlements if there is any.
    As you have a flock number, you must submit a BPS application even though you have no entitlements, you can get ANC payment.
    For BPS entitlements you can lease/buy if you don’t have any

    I have the land leased so I am the tenant... green cert won't be done in foreseeable future as I don't have the time... I thought everyone was entitled till the bps with green cert or not?

    Everyone is entitled to BPS, but the amount you get is based upon the entitlements you own/lease

    We bought entitlements as we had none

    Yes but I have no entitlements at all I didn't think the bps was related till entitlements.... I was told I would get so much a HA even without entitlements?

    You should get the ANC without entitlements. It's what was known as area aid. You need to submit a bps application though.

    On a related note though if you don't have entitlements at least look at leasing them in. The return on investment would be better than anything else.
