What fun on street charity fundraising activities have you seen at home or abroad?

Having someone dress up as a cartoon character and take pictures with people for a monetary charity donation is always a good option for example.

Best one I’ve seen is ‘Leave people the fuck alone’.

    Works every time.

Closely followed by the "keep out of my personal space or I'll burst you" approach. Gets me every time.

I also don't like when people approach me on the street looking for money or bank details but some people are willing to raise money for people in need and can offer something like I suggested in my opening post and give people the option to approach them if they are interested as some people don't have others they can turn to in their worst moments unlike most of us.

I'll say no more on that as it would be counterproductive.

Photos with some prop is great. Cardboard cut out of superhero, Frozen etc. Or big board where people put head through hole for funny effect. Statue of animal that kids can sit on. Etc

"Free" hugs , but encourage donation.

Street entertainment with a collection plate? Music, magic, juggling?

All good ideas but some might lead to someone falling off the prop or hurting their neck which would lead to problems. Unfortunately that's the Ireland we live in now:(
