    Hello!

Am looking for help with feral pup of about 4/6 months – is there anyone that you would recommend in around Galway county.

Preferably for 1:1 training in home.

If I were you, I'd go with any trainer listed on http://apdt.ie DogCollie. Trainers listed there are put through an exam in order to be listed on their website. I would not be quick to recommend Bosupe's link, unfortunately. Not an APDT member.

I wouldn't recommend them, especially not for a feral pup. Prong collars are utilised by their main trainer

Just had a look at the website out of curiosity. The language used on there would make me cautious about them. 'restructuring in older dogs' and 're establishing the hierarchy in the home'.

There is a lady called Louise Knibb who's with APDT Ireland, her contact details aren't on their website just yet, but like all APDT Ireland members, she embraces a kind, evidence-led approach to dog training, rather than the misguided, bully-boy tactics used by some other trainers who cling to outdated and unsound training methods.
You should find her on Facebook if you do a search :)
