How to work with recruitment agencies and get the most out of it?

    I'm newly unemployed after 5+ years working non stop.

    I've never signed up to a recruitment agency before so thought I'd give it a go.

    Any tips? Anything I should look out for?

    Should I sign up with more than one? Sign up with all of them in my city?

    Sign up with a bunch of them. Be honest with them. Understand you're the product, not the customer, so set your expectations correctly.
