    Edit - Ah, it's only USB C to lightning. I thought they finally had to change to USB C on the phone.

    Yeah it’s only C-Lightning, no biggie, and it’s only gonna be the cable that comes with it.

    You’ll still be able to use existing cables and wireless chargers!

    This makes complete sense.

    What doesn't is me buying a $7000~ MacBook Pro and a $1000 iPhone X and I can't plug the iPhone into the laptop to charge/develop apps without buying another cable.

    USB-C is not a better connector than lightning however...

    Yeah, well I don't want to update my MBP and lose the headphone, lightening, USB 2, HDMI, SD Card and MagSafe ports!
