    Hi
    I have a tax question

I work a regular job 40 odd hours a week

I have all my own tax credits and my wife's credits as she is on unpaid leave at the moment.

Right now I am below the 40% tax threshold.

I am looking at taking another part time job at the weekends that pays X Euro per hour.

Is there an easy way that I can calculate how much of that X euro I get in net pay after tax ?

    Thanks

Handy way to do it. Go onto pwc wage calculate put in your hourly gross etc and hit calculate....

Then lets say you plan to work 10 hours extra at 10 euro meaning 100 gross a week. *52 weeks a year is 5,200 add that onto your original gross pay put that into pwc calculator.

The difference answers will be your part time job earnings(assuming it is 100 euro a week)

    Some other tax calculators:

Karl Grabe's web app is good for a quick calculation: http://taxcalc.eu
My macro enabled Excel spreadsheet (Windows only and needs Excel 2007 or newer to work): http://taxcalc.eu/monthlyss
