    Hi

My daughter is due to take her test shortly. She is thinking of doing the test in my car but the thing is my car has an automatic handbrake and a reversing camera. Are you allowed to sit a test with both of them?

    Thanks

    Christy

Yes that's no problem. However she must still do all the same visual checks she would in a car without a camera.

And I presume the car has a manual gearbox with clutch, in order to pass the test with an unrestricted license.

    That’s great, thanks.

So she doesn't get distracted by the reversing camera screen, it might be worth switching off the camera system on the day, I'm sure there's a setting for it to have the screen off

    Electronic handbrake is no issue
