screen flashing in windows 10

    Screen flashing occurs when I log in to Windows 10,it stops after a few minutes,any suggestions anyone on what to do to stop this happening?

    Is it the screen ,how old is the monitor.
    Maybe theres an update,can you run a system update and see?

    Laptop is 3 years old,have tried updates,changed cable no change Thanks

    Did you try and connect it to another display and see if it flashes?

    I have had success (not in Windows) by changing the HDMI cable for a better one (although longer).
