Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me

So I’ve qualified for the SUSI grant which will provide me with €5914 per academic year which is so great. I naturally thought that my fees would be paid for as my grand mother’s (my guardian) income is just €11,000 per year and my brother and sister are still in full time education.
On my college account it says that I still have €3254 to pay for student contribution. I can’t even dream of being able to pay that sum as I’m already looking for a loan for my accommodation as I’ve no way of commuting.
I really don’t know what to do, I’ve contacted SUSI to ask what I actually qualify for but if I have to pay €3254, there’s no hope in me attending college

The full amount is probably showing on your student account because your college won't have received the funding from SUSI yet.

Would agree here, another form usually has to be stamped by the college confirming your attendance there, this would then be returned to SUSI, this was the case when grants were assessed by Local Authority, two scenarios can occur, if you have paid the registration fee yourself, then this will be refunded to you, otherwise the fee is paid by SUSI to the college.
