Deferring a place in County council panel?

    Hi,

    Can anyone advise me is it possible to defer your place on county council panel? If you have been offered a job, can you ask to be kept on the panel, even it they put you back to the bottom of the panel?

    Panels aren't infinite. Normally one year term and back to start again.

    Never heard of them doing it before but If you gave them a good reason as to why you weren't available to start when they reach your number they might. They would probably prefer this instead of you dropping out as its time consuming interviewing people. Are you high up on the panel?
