    I'd say you will have to use the bushing or the bearing won't be seated correctly and the grinder will shake itself to bits which would be a bad thing.
    The bush is only small money and any decent bearing shop would sell you a quality 607 bearing with or without rubber shields.

    Hmmm, was thinking something similar. That bearing seems easy enough to get. I'll ring a few spots today to see if I can get the bushing too. Thanks for the input.
