    I am looking at this

    http://www.jdonohoebmw.ie/web/Protect-X/

I think it comes at around €400-€500ish mark.

Is it worth doing? Are there any alternatives and if so any placea in South Co. Dublin doing that kind of coating?

Absolutely not - go to D'Shed in Dublin and they'll do a better job for cheaper and give you great advice on how to maintain.

If the car is new you're better off spending that money elsewhere. First getting the car properly washed, decontaminated then polished to remove any damage they've done scrubbing the car at the dealer, along with removing contaminants from transport.

Then a protective/ceramic coating can be applied that can last up to a few years.

From what I hear, dealer coatings aren't very good quality products.

No longer offering their services unfortunately.

Yes I was talking to the guy from D’Shed. He recommended two places one called Spirit Detailing and the other Flawless Detailing. The ceramic coating plus some protection on the upholstery will be around €1200 from what he told me.

He said that after ceramic coating the finished effect will be different than after wax (which gives a warm glow). So thats the only thing I am unsure of, how the car looks after.
