KBC Mortgage current account discount

    KBC give a 0.2% discount if you have your current account. However does anybody know if they could remove this down the line or is it actually in the contract? If we fix for 10 years could they come along in 6years if rates are higher and remove the discount?

    Yes they could. It’s not part of your mortgage contract.

    At which point you simply move mortgages to a cheaper provider.

    It is part of the fixed rate contract.

    So they could remove it for variable rate holders at any time, it cannot be removed from a contracted fixed rate where the discount forms part of the agreement
