Kast engine oil

    Has anybody any experience or know anything about KAST engine oil. Micks garage have it on offer at the moment. It meets the spec for my engine...

    If it meets the spec of your engine I would use it. Although I've not had experience with this brand...

    Funny i just used it the weekend on a service 5W30 Euro+ meets VW507.00 for my car so i have no issues personally using it.

    Kast is just a makey uppy brand that micks garage use, they just use various lowest bidder brands and repackage them.
    Had a very bad experience with some Kast parts from micksgarage, there was a serious defect with them. They said they had gotten onto the factory and sent a revised part (which failed exactly the same way almost instantly).

    If it meets the spec then that’s grand. I’d be a bit skeptical about whether what they say is what you get, but that’s always a risk I guess.

    FWIW Halfords oil and Total Quantum (from micksgarage) is often very cheap. Been using both for years.
