    Hi folks,

Just wanting a bit of advice really.

Looking at a 131 Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI, Zetec spec - 96,259 miles.

    Anything to look out for?

    TIA!

Do you do mileage to warrant a diesel car?

Check the boot for dampness, it's a common Ford problem and can be caused by water leaking in through the rear windscreen wiper area.

    Hi biko, cheers for that.

I travel a good distance everyday for work so think I'll stick with Diesel. I have a 04 1.8 focus at the moment but looking for a bit of an upgrade.

I'd look for evidence of regular and proper servicing.

    Thanks for all the feedback!

Test drove a 2014 ford focus 1.6 tdci edge this evening and very impressed with how it drives. 67,000 miles on her, just in from the UK. Had my eye on it the past while, might make the leap tomorrow :o

Make sure to do a full history check on that car. 67k miles is very low for a 4 year old diesel car from the UK so there should be evidence via a service history. And ring the garages that serviced it to verify. Also Edge is the base model and not a very nice place to be sitting in doing a lot of miles.

Is that it service history wise?
