WTD: cheap runaround

Hi, I know I could look on done deal and adverts but said Id try here first so I could deal with a human. Looking for a bike to do a very short run ( under 3k ) from my house to the train station and going down the shops also. If it's a bit tatty that may well help, I don't want it to be a target for thieves. Ideally it doesn't need much work but if it's a decent bike then that could work. The budget is really low - 50 - 100 considering that it will be disposable. I'll consider road, hybrid, MTB. I'm 5 9 but short legs so a medium will do the trick. Obviously not looking for perfection here. Thanks for reading.

where are you based?
a friend bought a 'mountain bike' from the rediscovery centre in ballymun for an almost identical reason to you - cost him €90 and had been recently serviced.

i think they have a store of bikes, so if they don't have one on display that fits you, it may not be beyond the bounds of possibility that they could pull out and service one of the bikes they do have in storage.

Thanks that's an option alright. As I'm based in maynooth was hoping to find something near there or in city centre where I work

I have a runaround MTB in your size that should fit your needs perfectly.
It's in perfect working order.
I currently have the child seat on it and we use it for family cycles.
