"Check Electric System" display came up and dealer discovered a recall had been announced, for the handbrake.
A courtesy car suddenly was provided, which was not available untill the R word was mentioned, I assume Renault pay, once recall is mentioned. Checking in with the dealer some days later, I'm told "The gearbox and motor are out!" Hope it all goes back together, as I have to decide soon if I hand it back or pay the remaining PCP, over €7k. The "Dynamique" model is 3 year old with an average range around 80 miles. An upgrade to the bigger battery is over €3k.

im glad for you that it was a recall/under warranty other wise sounds costly .
did it give you any other bother ? surely financially its better to pay off pcp and sell privately if deciding not to keep

Recall for the hand brake done on my Zoe (no warnings on mine though, it just flagged at service). I already had a courtesy car from Renault Naas and the whole thing was sorted FOC including the service as goodwill. Couldn't have been easier. Had it back 2 months now and no difference in the drive etc

Think I'll keep, as fuel still free as I'm in year 6, even though no infrastructure. Renault still haven't notified me that there is a recall?
