Ever been part of a rent-a-crowd for a Facebook photo?

Let's say you're in a bar. You're quietly enjoying your time.

Somebody innocently approaches you to take their photo of themselves and their friends. You kindly oblige.

Next minute they're asking you and your friends to join in for the photo. (usually some other victim randomer is then assigned role of photographer :D)

The group disassembles just as quick as it was formed. Then you realise that you've just been used as photo-fodder so someone else can look super-popular on social media.

So, if you ever feel left out by looking at Facebook photos. Don't be.

Every time someone asks me to take their picture, it always crossed my mind to run off with their camera.
    Just that fleeting moment.

Or if it's on their phone, to turn the front camera on and just take a picture of myself!

I kind of miss the novelty of not knowing how a picture would turn out. Everyone posing at some occasion, only to be disappointed at the missing heads in the developed photo.

Just tell them ypu can't be photographed in the bar as you're casing the place. Then wink, take out your own phone and start taking pics of till, exits, CCTV etc.

Is this a thing or a hypothetical situation?

I'm guessing the latter, as the post starts with "lets say".

I've never witnessed this... unless it was the hired club photographer doing the rounds trying to earn their keep by taking as many get-them-before-they're-stocious pics as possible.
